#9 SQUARE CUT made a nice debut back in Feb when 3rd to Starry Legend with 2nd coming out and running 4th in a Group 3 behind La Rocque. He was too speedy in his return, leading the field in Heat 6 on Jun 30 before giving a kick around the bend and winning by several lengths. Keen to see another jump out before he resumes.
In her first jump out, the 2yo #10 ASTEROIDEA went straight to the front and led the whole way, winning Heat 6 on Jun 25 in the fifth fastest time of the 20 jump outs that morning. She held this lead past the line, suggesting she wasn’t running out of steam late. He had jump outs on May 28 (4th) and Jun 11 (2nd) under his breeding (mare: Starfish) prior to this..
Was keen on CECIL STREET LAD, but with the scratching it looks as though ASTEROIDEA is the one to beat and she's our pick. Expecting SQUARE CUT to push forward but has only had the one jump out prior to this.

PELORUS PRINCESS has form behind Veranskova from her first up run where she beat 3rd by 6.25L who then ran 3rd again next start. She's the obvious one to beat here.

The consistent #6 APRES LA MER finally got the maiden victory in her last start last preparation and then having a much deserved spell before returning to bolt in Heat 4 on Jun 30. She was within 1.5L of the winner in all 7 starts last preparation and now that she’s finally got the win, she can be competitive in a BM58/BM64 first up where she will lead and be hard to catch.
Can't take ~$2.50. Wait for closer to jump and hopefully she gets out to $3+.
