CRANBOURNE - 1 June 2020

FINK TANK - E Jusufovic

This 3yo Ocean Park gelding jumped out very nicely again in Heat 6 over the 1000m. He jumped well and put himself on speed before winning the heat by lengths after some light riding. The overall time for the day was good considering in the other heats horses were ridden out a lot more aggressively. He’s by a good stallion in Ocean Park and his jump out on the soft ground ensures he’ll handle a wet track!

We black booked him after his May 4 jump out, and today marks his fifth jump out following those on Mar 30, Apr 14, and Apr 20. He will be fit and firing when he finally debuts and he should be a big chance!

5yo mare GUESS AGAIN led the whole way to win Heat 3 (1:04.01s) over 1000m. She was very well held together to finish in front of the group mare JAMAICAN RAIN in 2nd who was also well held.

The Tasmanian HEAVENLY LIGHT was too good in Heat 7 (50.84s) for LEVERAGED who was ridden quite. They ran the quickest 800m heat of the morning.

Two nice jump outs in a row now for PAY YOUR DUES with wins on May 25 and in Heat 9 (50.15s). He’s very ready to resume and we'll be following. Hopefully he's placed well in a very winnable race.

Following both DADORABLE (1st) and QUALITY DIAMOND (2nd) from Heat 13 (50.9s). Both 3yo filly’s were well held together as they hit the line largely untested and looked to be travelling very well.

Put this un-raced 3yo filly on the watch list after a May 11 jump out. MOSHELLE DE CLASSE has had a few weeks off before winning Heat 4 (1:03.01s) over 1000m quite well in front of recent maiden winner, COMMODUS. Think she’s worth following

Heat 11 (52.9s) was run in a super slow time, but did like how GALGANI was travelling alongside 69-rated stayer SKYT. She’s yet to miss a placing in 4 career starts with form around Feelings, Early Morning Rise, Finesse Tess and Dune Field. Putting her on the watch list for another jump out.

MELBA STORM was coming hard late, hitting the line with pace in Heat 12 (52.14s) to finish 2nd. The un-raced 2yo filly was in front past the line and really impressed with how hard she hit the line despite being held back hard. Keeping a very close eye on her.

GEELONG - 1 June 2020

RUN TO PERFECTION was 4th in the 1600m Group 1 Guineas in NZ behind Catalyst and then was only 2.5L behind Catalyst in a Group 3. He came over to Aus and joined the O’Brien stable before finishing 2L off them when resuming. A mid prep jump out has seen him take out Heat 2 where he made up a lot of ground under minimal pressure. He’ll win a few nice races in Aus we think.

CAULFIELD - 2 June 2020

This set up of jump outs was ordinary with Heavy10 track doing no favours. The best of an ordinary bunch was EUPHORIC SUMMER in Heat 1 (42.32s) who ran the quickest 650m heat of the three. The 2yo filly is Group 3 placed as an early 2yo as she now gears up for some late 2yo races.

MORNINGTON - 3 June 2020

Super win by KNOWLES in Heat 1 (55.88s). She tracked last throughout the heat before storming over the top of them to win in the fastest time of the morning. She looks ready to go after a nice 5-week freshen up.

ELUSIVE SHINE put a gap on them in Heat 10 (47.05s), the quickest of the 700m heats on the day. Considering he’s a 10yo that was at the picnic’s 4 starts ago, I wouldn’t read too much into this and wouldn’t follow. It also softens the quality of the rest of the 700m jump outs as he ran the quickest time with ease. Ordinary bunch of jump outs.

BALLARAT - 4 June 2020

LADY OF FLANDERS is building towards her return after over a year off, posting two jump out wins in a row following her win in Heat 1 (1:06.81s). This heat was almost 2s quicker than the next quickest 1100m heat and almost 1s quicker than the average, so she won in nice time.

The Dan Kelly x Alana Kelly combo took out Heat 4 (51.46s) with an un-named galloper by the breeding THE ROCK x CHUTES. This runner was very quietly ridden along the inside, while those around him were pushed through the line. One to watch but will need to see another jump out before anything.

FLEMINGTON - 5 June 2020

Previously with Wendy Kelly, this 3yo filly has had a stable change to the Waller yard following a solid debut at a short quote. She finished 4th with 5th a decent 2L behind her. The First Of May was 3rd who broke her maiden in her next start, while Florent was 2nd having won the Sires Guineas at Caulfield since. So the form around her is good. Thought she closed well from the back in Heat 7 (49.80s) and made good ground on some more experience gallopers in Zouper Star (a 2.5L mdn winner) and The Natural. Her third jump out now following quietly ridden May 1 and May 15 jump outs. She’s ready to go back to the races. It looked like Craig Williams in the saddle so hopefully he sticks for her resumption. She's in the black and white chequered silks with purple sleeves and a black cap.

MILWAUKEE and RIVER JEWEL had only a nose separate them in Heat 1 (49.01s). They ran the quickest time of the morning. The former is 4 runs into his prep, whilst the latter is looking to resume and would be very well placed in a bm78 first up despite having no wins form 5 first up attempts.

CREDIBLE WITNESS was very hard held in Heat 3 (49.57s) in behind the speed. That speed was provided by PROPELLE (who also trialled well hard held) and a pushed out DUTCHESSE MOSHE. 6 starts last prep for 3 seconds and 3 thirds… this 6yo gelding is well overdue for a win. Hopefully finds that in a bm64 first up.

FUTURE FORCE was a well backed $2.70 SP favourite on debut but was very disappointing, finishing 6L last. Put away straight away for a break, returning in Heat 4 (49.21s) and winning quite well. Look for another jump out to see how she’s travelling before resuming as they had an opinion of her. Out wide closing well through the line was PARTY IN STLYE. Putting her on the watch-list too.

We mentioned SWEET GOLD last week on Heat 2 (51.95s). She’s had another nice quiet jump out in Heat 5 (49.16s) and is ready to go to the races. One to watch.

Not so sure about the Yulong horses, but YULONG SONG closed super out wide in Heat 5 (49.16s). A lightly raced 4yo that’s coming off a decent spell, he needs another jump out.

Following on from May 22 (48.35s), Dainty Tess’ half-brother VOLUNTEER was super hard held when 3rd in Heat 10 (49.97s). The time wasn’t quick but he was held back and never let go. He’s going to be one to keep safe and debut.
