RANDWICK - Race 2
OTHER
#9 RENOSU is travelling super ahead of his return. He led and won a Jun 21 trial over 800m under a ridiculous hold, clocking 48.85s which was slower than the days average of 48.16s. He did similar in Heat 8 on Jul 6, going forward and leading from start to finish again under a strong hold to win by 2.29L in 44.74s, slightly slower than the days average of 44.47s. He hasn’t been let go yet and the trials were over only 800m and 740m, but he cant have won much more impressively and he’s one worth following first up.
SANDOWN - Race 6
OTHER
This was a massive win by #14 LISIEUX in Heat 9 on Jun 29. She jumped cleanly but drifted back to a clear last by a 10L to the point where she wasn’t even on screen coming around the bend, but she showed a tremendous turn of foot to make up the entirety of the ground in the straight to somehow win by 1L. The 4yo mare has the benefit of race fitness, but this was a big win. She’s only 60-rated and won a BM58 first up by 2.2L, so would love to see her head back to a BM58 next start.
SANDOWN - Race 7
OTHER
#12 FRENCH EMPEROR recorded a ridiculous win in Heat 22 on Jul 4 over the 1190m, winning by 15L+ in the fastest time of the morning. He won a Jun 20 jump out over 1000m easy as well and he’s deadset flying ahead of his resumption for the new Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr stable down in VIC. First up he’s 2: 1-0-1 and a big watch first up here.

Randwick, Race 2 | |
#9 RENOSU (7) - J Cummings | Medium/High. Sports Legend & Kazalark come out and leaves this colt as the clear horse to beat, and he should be quite hard to beat as a result. We'll wait until closer to the jump to play, but happy to be with him here. |
Sandown, Race 6 | |
#14 LISIEUX (6) - P Carey | Low/Medium. Would've preferred a country BM58 over a Wednesday BM70, which she might head to if she runs poorly here. She looks out of her depth but at $61+ (likely bigger when they jump), she looks to be worth a tiny bet. |
Sandown, Race 7 | |
#12 FRENCH EMPEROR (9) - M Price & M Kent Jnr | High. This looks a lovely kick off point for this gelding following some super JO's here in VIC. First up last prep he won a 1400m CL1 by 2L. Quite keen to be with him here - he looks very hard to beat and probably the best bet of our 3x runners. |
