KILMORE - Race 4
#12 SHARWIN (7) - A & S Freedman
SHARWIN has been scratched multiple times over the past week or so, returning to the jump outs in Heat 6 on Sep 22 to tick the legs over and she’s absolutely bolted in by a massive margin. She jumped straight to the front here with super gate speed and gave nothing else a chance, leading from start to finish. We didn’t have her as a Blackbook this prep after Aug 11 and Aug 25 jump outs (until now), but did have her down after Apr 1 and Apr 16 jump out. She now looks primed for a debut and we’e keen to follow her into the run.
OTHER
Bit of breeding behind #9 PSYCHO STAR who finished 2nd in Heat 3 behind regular jump out star It’s Kind Of Magic. The 3yo filly went the the line largely untouched, a nice bit of work for her first jump out. She’s a half-sister to Esperance, out of the mare Sycophant who’s a half-sister to the Group 2 placed Sydney Owner. She’s worth keeping in mind.

Kilmore, Race 4 - SHARWIN (& PSYCHO STAR)
SHARWIN has been scratched multiple times looking for the most suitable race to debut in, jumping out in between and absolutely dominating. D Moor booked to ride and he is certainly in form. PSYCHO STAR jumped out well enough to be worth a spec at a big price.
Ratings wise, RIOYUKI brings in the clear best last start benchmark rating. There are a fair few debutants in this race though and we expect the winner to be either a debutant or RIOYUKI.
RIOYUKI has jumped out well enough while SCAMPTON is a full-sister to the Group 1 winning Foxwedge but thought her official trial was only fair. EXOEXO is one at a bigger price that we thought jumped out well enough to be competitive.
The $3.50 for SHARWIN looks about right while the $31 for PSYCHO STAR is a nice price to spec. Happy to back both our runners for an even return - medium confidence on this race.
