MORNINGTON - Race 3
OTHER
This was a lovely jump out by the un-named 3yo gelding for Patrick Keane, RICH ENUFF x SCANTILY, taking out Heat 6 on Mar 28 as he travelled out wide just off the speed before cruising up to the leaders and getting over the top with ease, closing really nicely and looking like he has a nice action. Only his first jump out this prep and it was a super one, must follow this gelding.
KEANE ENUFF was the un-named Patrick Keane runner that caught our eye following a Mar 28 win, backing that up with another win in Heat 6 on May 2. The 3yo gelding was hard ridden throughout this heat as he went toe to toe with Miss Russia throughout, getting the better of that runner late where they clocked the fastest 800m time of the morning in the process too. He’s a half-brother to Scantoon, a talented gelding himself and his younger Rich Enuff brother here looks to have some talent as well. He’s certainly one to watch on debut, he’ll run well.

Mornington, Race 3 | |
#3 KEANE ENUFF (5) - P Keane | Medium. Thought his JO's were super and that latest where he was ridden out to win ahead of Miss Russia now reads well with that galloper winning by 1.5L at $1.50 first up. This is a solid maiden but from barrier 5, he can take a prominent position and expect him to be hard to beat. Expecting a big debut here and want to be with him - can see him starting closer to $3 than $2 so think the play is back ½ now and ½ late/SP. |

STAKING
We know that everyone takes a different approach to their staking, which is why we don't delve into specific staking for each of our runners and we leave how you stake and bet our runners completely up to the individual.
Personally, we have followed different staking systems over the years to fine tune our own punting, but have found that the most profitable approach is to follow a "Collect system".
This system means that the punter (us) bets on the win only (no place bet) to collect 4% of our bank on every BlackBook runner we have. To begin, you need to select a starting bank - as an example, a starting bank of $10,000 will see us betting to collect $400 (4%) on each runner.
If a runner is $2, we will bet $200 @2 to collect $400.
If a runner is $20, we will bet $20 @20 to collect $400.
If a runner is $3.50, we will bet ~$114 @3.50 to collect ~$400.
We highly recommend having a read of the below PDF document from Dan O'Sullivan in regard to the Six Rules to Increase Profit, Staking like a Professional and Punting As An Investment (see here):
