PAKENHAM - Race 1
#1 BRAZEN BULLY (3) - A & S Freedman
BRAZEN BULLY backed up his Apr 30 jump out with a with some nice closing speed to finish 2nd in Heat 4 on May 14 (red with white sleeves) alongside some more experienced runners in Aramayo and Whittington Stone. Don’t like how he was a beaten $2 favourite last start, but he was spelled after this so maybe he wasnt quite right. Expecting him to be improved this preparation.
The scratching of DUTY DYNASTY has opened this race up now - we weren't too keen to back him at $2 though and now it looks like BRAZEN BULLY's race to lose.
PAKENHAM - Race 3
OTHER
#2 COVENT GARDEN looked really nice in Heat 5. Coming down from NSW having previously been with the Chris Waller yard, this 3yo filly is a half-sister to the superstar Winx. This is only her first jump out for the new Peter Moody stable, so just putting her on the watch list for now as she did look to move really well. Maybe the change of scenery will do her good.
