MOE - Race 1
#4 CHARACTER (6) - J Cummings
CHARACTER went stride for stride with recent maiden winner Mynumerouno in a May 28 jump out and was the only one not off the bridal and pushed out in Heat 9 on Jun 11 (blue). The 3yo colt travelled beautifully on speed throughout with (who looked like) D Oliver on board and looked as though he could’ve taken over and won if asked. He debuted in NSW at $4.60 against Finance Tycoon and Shaquero before stepping up to 1300m and finishing a 2.6L 4th. He’s a big watch in a VIC maiden.
OTHER
#2 BLAZERRO won a Jun 10 800m synthetic jump out before skipping away to win Heat 10 on Jun 16 by 4L in nice time, albeit ridden out and pushed. The 2yo gelding led the whole way along the rail here, a nice win.
DUTY DYNASTY scratched again so we'll be backing CHARACTER and having a saver on BLAZERRO to breakeven.
MOE - Race 7

#3 CHARLES THE GREAT a great win in Heat 12, leading from start to finish to win quite comfortably in the end with the rest of the field left chasing and struggling to keep up, running a nice time for the day in the process. A little 4-week freshen up for this gelding and looks in good enough order to get a second career win.
The $17+ in early markets looks good enough for a small play - think he can go forward here and be in it a long way.
MOE - Race 8

#3 DUKE OF NEWORLEANS absolutely bolted in Heat 2 on Jun 16, running nice time in the process on the Heavy track. Looked like a potential addition of blinkers here, which we’ll keep an eye out for when he resumes. Can win a CL1/BM64 first up.
Happy to wait until closer to the jump to try get a bit better than the $1.80 currently available. Barrier is terrible (13) but he should have enough speed to go forward, cross and be very hard to chase down.
