#6 PORT LOUIS is certainly back in good order as a gelding. He went one better than his 2nd in a jump out on Jun 22, winning Heat 13 on Jul 7 over the 900m again where he was clearly a class above. As mentioned after his first jump out, he’s 76-rated with very good form on the board so if he heads to a maiden first up to get it out of the way, it’ll be very interesting to see if the gelding finally switches him on. Expect him to be short.
Have to mention that potentially Victoria’s best maiden in #6 PORT LOUIS is back in work, finishing 2nd in Heat 5 on Jun 22 where he just cruised to the line. Couldn’t really take much from this but he has had the ultimate gear change and is now a gelding. He’s 76-rated with very good form on the board so if he heads to a maiden first up to get it out of the way, it’ll be very interesting to see if the gelding finally switches him on.

He should simply just win this - it looks like they've taken him here for an easy kill to finally get that win on the board and then he'll be back in town over the spring, this time as a gelding. The issue is obviously his price at ~$1.30. It's a personal preference on if you back or not (probably wait till the jump to try get a drift), but we'd be very very surprised if he lost this. |
