WARRACKNABEAL - Race 3
#9 FORTUNATE KISS (3) - D Bowman
FORTUNATE KISS ran 3rd to Enthaar and Ingratiating on debut, only going down by 3.5L and gapping 4th (Frostin’) by 3.5L with that runner coming out to finish 2nd, 1st and then 2nd in the Bendigo Vobis Gold Rush - fair form. The 3yo filly returned to win Heat 10 on Aug 11 in nice fashion and looks to have come back in good order.
FORTUNATE KISS with another nice bit of working, winning Heat 1 on Aug 18 just ahead of the talented Literary Magnate (who was 2nd in The Showdown to Finance Tycoon after winning by 3.5L on debut) as they clocked the fastest time of the morning in the process - she looked a lot more comfortable too. The 3yo filly won an Aug 11 jump out as well and with her debut form behind Enthaar and Ingratiating, she looks more than talented enough to win a maiden early this upcoming preparation.
MOON YANCO is the one that wasn't a blackbook runner but trialled nicely behind Isles Of Avalon, who we have an opinion of.
Expect FORTUNATE KISS to win with MOON YANCO the only real danger. Not keen on taking the ~$1.50 in early markets though so a wait and see. Could have a play at MOON YANCO E/W instead.
CAULFIELD - Race 4
OTHER
This was really good by #1 ARTORIUS in Heat 11 on Aug 20, sitting midfield and then putting lengths on them in a matter of strides - the runner he put lengths on, the group placed 4yo Not An Option. Super by the colt, he looks in for a big spring.
We don't usually include Group 1 winners but this jump out was super and thought the $3+ was overs.
