FLEMINGTON - Race 1
OTHER
With 3x jump outs under his belt now, it looks as though Robbie Laing has a 2yo with talent on his hands. #7 EL SOLEADO finished 2nd in his first jump out on Mar 15 to Gold Bucket who ran 3rd and 1st in his first two career starts. He caught our eye in his Apr 11 win and now again in his win in Heat 8 on May 9 where he cruised throughout, wearing the blinkers in the latest bit of work. The son of Toronado looks to be a nice enough mover to go well on debut.
FLEMINGTON - Race 9
OTHER
A third jump out for #1 DOSH and certainly her best bit of work, bolting in Heat 1 on Apr 26 over the 800m in the second fastest time of the morning. She’s a speedy filly and will be flying first up, so look for her over 1000m first up.
#12 EASY SINGLE was super over the concluding stages of Heat 5 on Apr 26 to record a very nice win as he just got over the top of Libertus. The runner that really caught the eye in this heat was the un-raced 4yo TOUCH OF PATIENCE, who went to the line untouched in 3rd place in only his first jump out this preparation. We’ll be keeping a close eye on him.
SCONE, Race 10
#6 LASHES (1) - Matthew Smith
May 9 (Warwick Farm) - won by 4.73L in the second fastest time of the morning - had race fitness having had the 1x run over 1100m on a Heavy track only 10 days ago, but did win this easily and impressively.
