MORPHETVILLE - Race 1

#12 ROYAL DRESS (16) - T & C McEvoy

COME ON EILEEN got better as she stepped out over further distance in jump outs last preparation, with a nice 1200m jump out on Oct 20 following a poor Oct 7 jump out. This time in, her first jump out - being Heat 13 on Jun 16 - was a win over 850m. Follow for a second jump out as we expect her to step up over a further trip, probably 1000-1100m.

Have to also follow the 2yo Coolmore filly ROYAL DRESS. She is by I Am Invincible and is a full-sister to Chianti and a half-sister Sweet Rockette (Group 3 placed) who cruised to the line in 2nd here in Heat 13 on Jun 16. One her first jump out, but it was super.

We wanted to follow ROYAL DRESS after finishing 2nd on Jun 16 to Come On Eileen who has subsequently ran a 1.8L 3rd in a maiden at $11. The filly was given a little freshen up, returning in Heat 1 on Jul 7 where she jumped beautifully to lead along the rail and never looked like getting beat. As mentioned previously, she’s by I Am Invincible being a full-sister to Chianti and a half-sister Sweet Rockette (Group 3 placed) and certainly think she has some talent. Keen to follow her into a debut.

Was scratched from Warracknabeal last Sunday where she was $2.50 into $1.65 within an hour of opening prices. The barrier throws a spanner in the works, but think she might be smart and we do like the Vorster for McEvoy combo in SA - she's the one to beat.

MORPHETVILLE - Race 4

OTHER

Would love a BM58 on wet ground for #1 BLACK OPAL first up. He relished the Heavy conditions when winning Heat 1 on Jun 22, showing that the wet ground is certainly his preferred. He was 15 starts on Good tracks for 0 wins, but has 8 starts on a Soft ground for 2 wins and 3 placings along with 1 start on Heavy for 1 win. Look for those conditions first up.

Not sure why he raced on the synthetic first and second up, he clearly goes better on a wet track (9: 3-3-0). Looks like we get a Heavy/Soft track and he's an E/W bet.
