GEELONG - Race 4

#6 WINNERS BET (7) - C Jennings

Caroline Jennings looks to have a talented 3yo in WINNERS BET. He was a $40k buy at the 2021 Inglis April (Early) Online Sale when he was previously named Mobarhin with Lindsay Park. He was then with Tom Dabernig (who’s obviously ex-Lindsay Park), winning a Mar 22 jump out ahead of Adandiman (won BM64 first up)and Moon Yanco (since 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 1st in MDN’s) and a Apr 4 jump out ahead of Songaa (who was a $2.50 SP favourite on debut but ran 5th). Now with Caroline Jennings, he was 2nd in a May 20 jump out to My Artemis (who has won a MDN by 3L since) prior to his superb win in Heat 3 on Jun 10, winning by a huge margin in the second fastest time of the morning ahead of Swerving 2nd, Jillette 3rd (ran in GRP 3 last start) and Office Jim 4th, all handy horses. Super jump outs with form all around him, he’s going to be hard to beat on debut.

OTHER

We noticed #4 THE GREAT HOUDINI in a previous Nov 15 jump out where he was ridden with no urgency and did some nice work past the line. The Written Tycoon gelding didn’t make it to the track then, given more time and is now back at the jump outs in good order. He had a solid May 27 jump out prior to his work in Heat 3 on June 3 which was not dissimilar to his Nov 15 jump out, both on the synthetic. He sat behind the speed before getting space late and really doing his best work late and past the line. He hasn’t set the world alight, but think he’s got talent for the Hawkes yard.

Confidence - Comments

Geelong, Race 4

Annoying to have two nice BlackBooker's accept in the one race...

#4 THE GREAT HOUDINI (6) - M, W & J Hawkes

Low/Medium

Saver bet for Winners Bet, want to break even if he wins. Play him at the $6 this morning.

#6 WINNERS BET (7) - C Jennings

High

Main winning chance, think he's smart and Brett Prebble is heading to Geelong for only the 1x ride! Couldn't possibly back against him - play at the SP, look for a drift late.
